WHEN the lights go down and the stage comes alive, it's the audience who will be beckoned into the twisted wonderland that is the School of Total Education's senior drama production.

Crazy costumes, make-up to kill and characters oozing of quirkiness is the way to describe Year 10-12s interpretation of Lewis Carroll's famous books, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Clemence Dane.

While a number of original characters will still be found pouncing around the stage, the students have put their own spin on the story, and doused it in originality.

Senior drama teacher and director Allyra Greening said the students had been hard at work, crafting and polishing the production since week two of this semester.

"This play is so fast moving that there is an endless flow of new and quirky characters that drive it forward," Mrs Greening said.

"All of the notable features of the play are found in the student's very different and imaginative characterisations."

The production will be in the auditorium at the school on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, from 7.30pm.

Book your tickets through the school or buy some at the door for $15 for adults and $10 for children and concessions.
