Alice's strange trip to Wonderland
SIXTY students from St Mary’s will perform the school musical Alice in Wonderland, at the Warwick Town Hall tonight and tomorrow night.
The students, in Years 4 to 7, are under the direction of music teacher Erin Hilton.
“We have been preparing for the musical since the beginning of the year and will have had three full dress rehearsals,” Mrs Hilton said.
The final dress rehearsal/matinee is at 11am today at Warwick Town Hall, in front of the remaining St Mary’s students, as well as some residents from Akooramak Home for the Aged.
Mrs Hilton said the school had some outstanding singers.
“Our leads are very entertaining and have worked really hard on their dialogue and presentation,” Mrs Hilton said. “Our last musical only went for half an hour but this one is one hour, which is long for a primary school group.
“I can guarantee it will be an entertaining night.”
Tickets are still available for the 7pm performances, at the St Mary’s School office at a cost of $15 adults, $5 children and $30 for a family (two adults, two children).
