All rounders show the way for Redbacks

CRICKET: Justin Wheeler and Tyhe Clarkson were the stars of the show as Redbacks beat Allora by 111 runs in the Saturday game at Allora in Condamine Cup cricket.

Batting first, Redbacks scored 8-214.

Captain Tyhe Clarkson and Wheeler each made 48 and added 69 for the fifth wicket. Andrew Bardsley was 41 not out.

Sean Bryson was the best of the Allora bowlers with 3-41 off eight overs.

Allora opening batsman Gavan Scheiwe scored 50 and added 39 for the first wicket with Bruce Ole who made 20.

After Ole was out, the innings collapsed with Allora all out for 103.

Wheeler took 4-22 off eight overs and Clarkson 3-18 off 7.4 overs.

Round 6 will be played this weekend.
