All seniors are leaders at SOTE
AT The School of Total Education all seniors are leaders.
This is not because of our small class sizes but reflects our philosophy of encouraging and promoting all the students and not just those who may excel in a recognised area.
Our experience is that the senior students lead by example - the way they treat each other, the younger children and the teachers, the way they wear their uniform.
People often comment on how the older students happily interact with and look after the younger ones. Once a week the seniors organise an outdoor game for the primaries.
"The Big Game", as it is called, is part of our school culture and something that the children remember always.
"Our approach clearly enhances the student's capacity to handle stressful or competitive situations," principal Shane Power said.
"Many of our students play competitive sports outside the school where they acquit themselves very well.
"Many graduates have ended up in demanding work situations, such as medicine, and excelled."
