Alleged Bandidos associate faces Bundaberg court

TWO men have appeared in court following an alleged violent extortion attempt in Bundaberg.

Police are alleging 18-year-old Warwick man, Lloyd Michael Foran, who is believed to be an associate of outlaw motorcycle club, Bandidos, and 25-year-old Geoffrey Declan Foran, attempted to violently extort a 31-year-old Bundaberg man on Friday.

Both men appeared in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.

Lloyd Foran has been charged with one count of extortion with intent to gain benefit with threat, under the new Vicious Lawless Association Disestablishment Bill, that came into effect last year.

Geoffrey Foran has been charged with one count of extortion with intent to gain benefit with threat.

Both made no application for bail and have been remanded in custody until a committal mention on October 2.
