Alleged punch in the head leads to time in watchhouse

A SECURITY guard has allegedly been punched in the face at the music festival at Cherrabah Resort at Elbow Valley.

Warwick police were called to the festival at 12.30am Sunday and arrested a 23-year-old man from Brisbane.

"He was charged with assault after allegedly punching a security guard in the face,” police said.

"The security guard had minor injuries but did not require medical attention.”

The Brisbane man was charged and taken to the Warwick Watchhouse and released on bail at 8.30am Sunday.

He will face Warwick Magistrates Court on May 29.
