An extra service in vehicle electrics

WHEN it comes to his trade, David Roche's older brother taught him everything he knows.

From the basics of the industry, to the intricacies of the auto-electrician's trade, a then 15-year-old David absorbed all the information he could and hoped one day to follow in the footsteps of his brother Des who owns Warwick Auto Electrical.

As he learnt more and more, David branched out to work for various companies, before deciding to start up a business of his own here in the Rose City.

From brother to mentor to competitor, Des has always been an inspiration for David, who now owns Roche Mobile Auto Electrical and Air Conditioning.

Competitors they may be, but it's a friendly rivalry at that.

"He taught me my trade and I am grateful he taught me what I know," David said.

In the past few weeks David has taken his at-home business to a new front on Kenilworth St.

"I was contracting for John Dee as well as running my business from home, but I have decided to focus solely on the business," David said.

"Warwick doesn't have many auto-electricians in town, so I'm trying to provide a service to the town that is lacking."

David said the new shed space allowed him to provide his services to campervans, caravans and regular vehicles.

"I also install split-system air-conditioning in houses as well, which is not what all

auto-electricians offer," David said.

David said he wanted his clients to be aware of where he was stationed and to know he was well and truly open for business.
