VIDEO: Anti-CSG film a must see
IT'S a David and Goliath battle, which played out in the media, the CSG-fields around Tara and now on the big screen in Warwick.
The anti-CSG film Frackman will be screened in a special one-off showing at the Warwick Twin Cinema tonight, hosted by Our Land, Our Water, Our Future (OLOWOF) and the Southern Downs Protection Group.
Based in the town of Tara, Frackman follows the story and struggle of anti-CSG campaigner Dayne Pratzky.
Jenn Green-Galloway from the Southern Downs Protection Group said Frackman was a must-see film.
"People really need to see this film to educate themselves," she said.
"It brings out a range of emotions - you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be angry and you'll be happy."
Similar sentiments were expressed by OLOWOF spokesman Brian Clifford.
"The film has been so popular - it's been debated on TV," he said.
"It's a true and factual documentary."
Ms Green-Galloway said mining and coal seam gas was a real threat to the Southern Downs.
"Nobody wants to live next to CSG," she said.
"Eventually CSG will affect every Australian - the flow-on effects will hit everyone."
Tickets for the film are still available by visiting http://www.tugg.com/events/18953 to reserve your spot.
Limited tickets also can be obtained from the cinema on the night.
The movie will begin at 6.30pm and runs for about 90 minutes.
