KELLY Moore recorded six firsts, three seconds and one third to win her age group at the 2006 Cunningham Pony Club Gymkhana on Sunday. Moore, 14, joined the Cunningham club at the age of six, and competed on Sunday on her five-year-old thoroughbred mare Fay. Her overall age group win was her first at a Cunningham gymkhana. Moore won the showjumping, bending, Bondfield bend, rider class, flag race and bounce pony. She rates bounce pony as her best event. "Fay really likes jumping," Moore said. Her greatest sporting success has been on her appaloosa horse, Leotoes Gold, with three successive wins in the Australian Appaloosa Association State Youth Championship at Gatton. With almost daily training of her horses, year 11 at Warwick State High School and work at McDonald's, Moore has a full program. She also travels to shows as part of the student team looking after led cattle at Warwick High. Eleven clubs competed. Age champions: Harry Brazier (Cunningham), Bonnie Flood (Warwick), Lachlan Miller (Warwick), Kelly Moore (Cunningham), Matthew Follington (Cambooya), Kim Johnson (Cunnigham), Ruth McGill (Warwick), Ben Stott (Cunningham), Sophie Foster (Texas), Chloe Anderson (Oakey), Taylor Osborne (Cambooya), Carly Cooper (Cunningham), Selena Madsen (Warwick).
