TRACEY Madsen had the highest Warwick Hack and Pony Club points tally of 37 as 58 riders competed in the zone 21 pony club gymkhana on Saturday. She won showjumping, bend bar aft, bending and barrel races and the Bondfield Bend in the eight years age group. Tracey was second in the flag race, bareback and rider classes on the way to her overall championship win among the Warwick riders. A year three pupil at Warwick West State School, Tracey has competed in pony club for four years. She is now riding Angel after starting in the sport on her first pony, Gypsy. On Sunday, she competed in the Warwick Horse Trials Hunter Trial at Morgan Park and finished 11th in the 12 years and under age group in a field of 18. Tracey went clear in showjumping and cross country but was relegated to 11th due to time. Riders from Stanthorpe, Texas, Inglewood and Cunningham clubs also competed. Carol Paterson was awarded life membership of zone 21 at Saturday's gymkhana.
