Armed robber on loose in Toowoomba after hold-up

POLICE are looking for a man who held up a Toowoomba service station early this morning.

Toowoomba police report a man dressed in a black rain coat entered the United Fuels service station at the corner of Cohoe St and Tourist Rd, East Toowoomba, about 4.45am.

Police believe the man was armed with a "cylindrical object" and fled with a sum of money.  

He was last seen heading towards Tourist Rd.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being about 170cm tall with a medium build and was wearing a black jumper, dark long pants and had material covering his face.
