Studio to showcase local artists

THE next week will be a busy one for Sue Hamlet, but there is no doubt it will also be a joyous celebration.

The Fledge Design Studio owner will hold her second – and final – Jazz Up Your Nest (JUYN) art exhibition as part of the Jumpers and Jazz in July Festival.

She put it on for the first time last year and had overwhelming support from the artists and the general public, with many of the works walking out the door.

This time around the exhibition is 50 per cent larger and features three new artists to join four staying on from last year.

Mrs Hamlet said the best way to describe the works available – ranging from textiles to jewellery and paintings – was vibrant.

This year works will be by Jane Donaldson, Loretta Grayson, Kim Webster-Reeves, Jayde Clacy, Sue Marshman, Karina Devine and Anni Washington.

Fledge Design Studio will donate 10 per cent from the sale of each work to charity.

Fledge Design Studio is located above Palmerin Street; the entrance is between Toyworld and Warwick Awnings and Blinds.

The exhibition will run from tomorrow until next Saturday, open each day from 10am to 5pm except Sunday and entry is free.

Be sure to grab a copy of tomorrow's Warwick Daily News for full biographies of each of the artists in the exhibition.
