AN exclusive Sydney investment bank has been dragged into bitter personal and financial scandals after two of its top executives split from their wives - with claims one demanded his spouse to watch porn to learn how to perform sex acts on him.

Ashe Morgan's financial gatekeeper Hans Borgelt Monday went to court to successfully fight an application for an Apprehended Violence Order sought by his wife Julianne.

She claimed to police he had physically assaulted her and demanded she watch porn to learn how to give him daily oral sex.

Meanwhile the bank's Aston Martin-driving chief executive Michael Rothner has sold up his $23 million six-bedroom Harbourfront home in Darling Point, split from his wife Lisa and begun a relationship with an eastern suburbs socialite many years his junior.

The marital scandals involving the high-flying execs have cast a shadow over Ashe Morgan's recent unveiling of a $150 million investment precinct for Melbourne's Docklands.

Magistrate Michael Barko has dismissed the AVO application against Mr Borgelt in Waverley Local Court and said he was completely satisfied he presented no risk to his wife.

He said the financial controller might be "a tight-arse" but the fact his wife had a "$10,000 boob job" showed money was not too tight.

He said he was relieved the couple had not tendered to the court naked pictures of Mrs Borgelt taken for a coffee-table book aimed at reigniting their sex life.

In her statement tendered to the court, Mrs Borgelt claimed her husband had physically and verbally assaulted her, including putting his arm around her throat in a choke hold and threatening to kill her after she failed to defrost his dinner.

He also demanded daily sex, Mrs Borgelt said in her statement tendered to the court. "He told me I should watch porn so I can learn how to give a b ... job."

When she did watch the X-rated movie she alleged he said: "Do you like the girl's breasts because you won't be getting the breast operation you wanted so you won't get breasts like them."

Eventually she did.

Mrs Borgelt said in the tendered document: "I am really scared Hans is going to physically assault me and continue to verbally abuse me."

In court she added: "I am terrified of my husband."

Mr Borgelt told the court he "was upset and frustrated, not enraged" that his wife sat sipping white wine instead of defrosting his dinner. "How many times do I have to tell you that I disagree that I am physically and verbally abusive," he said.

There are concerns the unravelling of the marriages and personal finances of the top officials could prompt a closer probe of the bank's financial arrangements. The Australian Taxation Office has already informed the men they are considered high-wealth individuals because they control more than $30 million in net wealth.

The bank's hard-partying boss Mr Rothner has split from wife Lisa and is now understood to be in a relationship with eastern suburbs businesswoman Ziah Lane.

Ms Lane, who last year won the CPA Australia Women in Business major prize after founding eco-friendly company No Issues Tissues, exchanged naked photographs with her lover.

"They are close friends but nothing happened between them until after the end of the marriage," a spokeswoman for Ms Lane said.

Mr Rothner has been photographed enjoying the high life at A-list events with celebrities including actor Cate Blanchett, model Tyra Banks and film funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen.

After selling the family's luxury home, Mr Rothner moved to an oceanfront penthouse in the Pacific at Bondi. His wife and three daughters live in a rented house down the road.

Under Mr Rothner's stewardship Ashe Morgan has become a major developer.

In 2015 it paid $79 million for Brisbane's Chinatown mall.

Last month it unveiled its $150 million investment in Harbour Town on the edge of Melbourne's Docklands.

"These questions relate to private matters before the courts and I have no comment other than to deny the insinuations in your questions," he said.
