Assumption College inducts leaders

SEPARATELY they are seven individual students striving to succeed, but together they are a force to be reckoned with.

Assumption College student leaders were yesterday inducted with their badges at the annual senior school ceremony.

Tess O'Brien, Eloise Belcher, Pat Gribbin and Brodie Ellery were named school leaders and Claudia Eather (Campbell house), Luke Cannon (Doody house) and Haylee Wilson (Murphy house) became official house captains.

They already have ideas on how to improve the school and Eloise Belcher said this year was about making school more fun.

"We want to create more school spirit and make assemblies more fun," she said.

"We are thinking of getting a birthday clown who comes and gives out lollies and stuff on people's birthdays, and organising more social events."

Tess O'Brien said a strong emphasis would be put on cross-communication within the campus.

"We want to encourage people to socialise with different age groups," Tess said.

They all agreed their roles as leaders were ones of which they were proud.
