Assumption has two morning wins in netball
NETBALL: Assumption College has made it four wins in its first five games at the Queensland Independent Schools Netball Carnival in Central Queensland.
After winning two from three on Monday, Assumption beat Trinity College 23-18 today in what team official Anna Hardy described as a great comeback.
Assumption beat Downlands College 15-13 in another determined effort today and has two more games to play on day 2 of the five-day carnival.
Assumption/St Joseph’s made it two wins from three games with a 8-0 victory against St Michael’s Merrimac in Confraternity Shield rugby league in Rockhampton.
Mitch Watson scored a try and Tom Morris landed two goals for the winning team today.
The score was 0-all at half-time. Tom Duggan was man of the match for the team from the Southern Downs.
Assumption/St Joseph’s plays St Laurence’s from South Brisbane in a Confraternity Shield quarter final at 1.40pm today at Browne Park.
