Assumption students line up with Western Mustangs
RUGBY LEAGUE: Assumption College students Taegan Inmon and Thomas Bell are playing for the Western Mustangs in an under-16 game against the Gold Coast Titans Academy tomorrow at 3pm at Gold Park in Toowoomba.
The Western Mustangs includes players from the Toowoomba, Warwick and District, South Burnett, Western Downs and Roma regions.
Inmon predominately plays in the centres and Bell is a second rower. Bell is still eligible for U15 footy so is playing up a year with the Western Mustangs.
Both boys have represented the South West Mustangs in the past. Last year, Inmon played for the U15 Darling Downs side at schoolboys level in the state championships at Longreach.
The Assumption College pair trained with the Western Mustangs squad from October to December and will have their first training run this year at noon Saturday at Gold Park in the run-up to the game.
Western Mustangs U18 and U20 teams will play Titans in the later games.
