Assumption/St Joseph’s on top at half-time in league final
RUGBY LEAGUE: Assumption/St Joseph’s leads St Columban’s 6-4 at half-time in the Confraternity Bowl final at Rockhampton.
There was no score until 13 minutes from half-time when Assumption/St Joseph’s winger Blake Lollback capped off a great backline move with a try in the corner.
Tom Morris converted from wide out for a 6-0 lead.
St Columban’s from Caboolture fought back late in the half with a try in the corner.
Late in the half, St Columban’s had the better of the play but the team from the Southern Downs defended well to hold the lead.
The game is being live streamed which is a bonus for the players from Assumption College, Warwick, and St Joseph’s, Stanthorpe.
