Attempted murder charges laid after alleged Coast stabbing

TWO MEN have been charged with attempted murder after a man in Yandina was found with serious stab wounds on Thursday night.

It will be alleged a 53-year-old man opened the door of his Low St home and was attacked by the the two men who are known to him.

Emergency services arrived at the address about 11.40pm to find the man suffering serious stab wounds to his chest and neck.

He was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A 35-year-old Conondale man and a 51-year-old Yandina man have both been charged with one count each of attempted murder and burglary and will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.

They were arrested yesterday after police executed a search warrant at a caravan park.

Police investigations are continuing.
