Autumn rain slightly more than average
WARWICK'S autumn rainfall total was marginally above the long-term average, official recording charts show.
Bureau of Meteorology officials said Warwick recorded a combined total of 156mm of rain from the start of March through to the end of May.
This compared with the official long-term BOM average of 147.3mm.
The wettest days of autumn included the first weekend of March (56mm), April 1 (23.4mm), April 17 (18.4mm) and May 14 (19.8mm).
While the weekend might have felt wetter than it was in fact thanks to the drizzle, Warwick recorded a total of just 3.8mm to usher in the first weekend of winter. The bureau had forecast 10mm on Friday.
Temperature-wise autumn was something of a mixed bag, with maximums generally above long-term averages and minimums below.
The highest temperature for the season was 30.7 on March 25, with the lowest minus 1.5 on May 21.
Some early frost patches have been tipped for the Southern Downs and Granite Belt today, with a foggy and drizzly start predicted for tomorrow, but clearing to sunny conditions through the morning, and the same on Thursday.
Weatherzone's week-long forecast is for cloudy conditions on Friday leading into a wet long weekend.
