One killed as ute bursts into flames in crash with truck

UPDATE 6PM: One person has been killed in a crash between a utility and a truck in Felton South.

Police confirmed the crash at the intersection of Toowoomba-Karara and Clifton-Pittsworth Rds about 4pm was fatal.

The age and gender of the deceased can not yet be revealed.

Identification is expected to take some time due to the utility catching fire in the crash.

The truck driver was taken to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.

QAS paramedics have left the scene in the hands of the Forensic Crash Unit for investigation.

Traffic is being diverted via Nobby.

4.40PM: Police are currently at the scene of a serious traffic crash at Felton South.

Around 4pm a B-Double and utility collided at the intersection of Toowoomba Karara Road and Clifton Pittsworth Road, causing the utility to overturn and ignite in flames.

The intersection remains closed while the Forensic Crash Unit attends and investigates.

Traffic is being diverted via Nobby.
