Bachelorette Lisa's family home is no fake, just a rental

IT WAS the unexpected talking point of last night's jam-packed episode of The Bachelor - the sparkling luxury Coast home of bachelorette Lisa Hyde's family.

Channel 10 and production company Shine have confirmed the waterfront Noosaville mansion was hired for filming purposes as the real Noosa home of Lisa's parents John and Anne Hyde was unsuitable.

It is a common practice used in other reality shows, like My Kitchen Rules, to accommodate film crews and lighting and sound equipment.

"The property was rented on Lisa's parents behalf," a Shine spokesperson said.

"Their current family home in Noosa was not able to be used for production purposes."

The morning after the episode aired there was chatter on social media and radio questioning if the four-bedroom house had been hired for filming purposes.

The impressive property, which includes a pontoon and 25-metre swimming pool, is listed as a holiday rental on the R&W Noosa Holidays website.

Hyde and Bachelor Blake Garvey arrived at the home via kayak and Garvey was clearly blown away by the house, exclaiming "it's huge!".

Next week's final episodes of the reality dating show will see Hyde and the two other final bachelorettes Louise and Sam travel with Garvey to South Africa.

It has also been confirmed Garvey will propose to one of the women in Thursday's final.
