Anzac weekend marred by accidents, crime

AT 5pm Saturday police attended a single-vehicle traffic crash on Glen Rd.

The 18-year-old male driver was issued with a traffic infringement notice for failing to produce his provisional license.

His 17-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries.

Police also attended another single-vehicle accident on Glen Rd at 3am Sunday.

The 26-year-old female driver, who sustained minor cuts and bruises, recorded a positive alcohol test. Investigations are continuing.

Police intercepted a vehicle on Locke St at 1.45pm Sunday.

A 21-year-old Warwick man agreed to attend a drug diversion program when a search of the vehicle revealed a small quantity of cannabis.

A police search revealed a small quantity of marijuana in a vehicle intercepted on Albion St at 4pm last Wednesday.

A 28-year-old Warwick woman was issued with a notice to appear for possession of a dangerous drug.
