'Bandit' waits for owner to claim
YET another Warwick dog has been found wandering on the loose and is looking to be reunited with his family.
Warwick Town and Country Vet's Kathy Mauch said the dog – temporarily named Bandit – was brought in last Friday.
“But he had been found by someone on Thursday and no one has been coming looking for him,” she said.
Miss Mauch said Bandit had been micro-chipped recently.
“It obviously hasn't registered yet because it takes a few weeks – so we don't know who the owners are,” she said.
“He is roughly 12 weeks old. We think he is a collie cross.”
Bandit's unusual black mask across his eyes makes him stand out and Miss Mauch is surprised no one has coming looking for him.
“I called the other vets but no one knew anything about him,” she said.
Miss Mauch said the vet clinic decided not to send the puppy to the pound because of his age and she hoped someone would step forward to claim him after the Daily News' previous success with reuniting lost dogs with their owners.
“He had no injuries, we flea-treated him and wormed him when he got here but he was perfectly healthy when he arrived,” she said.
