Barastoc carnival to start tomorrow

THREE days and two nights of polocrosse will take over Morgan Park this weekend.

There will be a troop of Australian representatives but just as importantly some players who will be enjoying their first carnival.

At the junior sports awards this week, Warwick club member Kent Wells explained the excitement of his first game when he was selected mid-week and arrived at the grounds at the weekend with a horse all ready for him.

As this is the first carnival of the season, plenty of newbies will be in action.

Players will come from as far as Victoria for the Barastoc Interstate Series and the Shell Cup will attract up to 70 teams with Sydney one club team to watch. Admissions for spectators will be $12.50 per day/night and $8 for the night. Children under 16 enter for free.

The first activity will be the meet and greet breakfast at Morgan Park at 7am tomorrow then play from 10am to well into the night.

It will be 7am starts for the weekend with action well into the night on Saturday and to mid-afternoon on Sunday.

Meals available from 6pm tomorrow and Saturday.

The canteen will be open all weekend.
