Baroque concert will broaden your horizons
BROADEN your musical horizons and come along to a wonderful concert of baroque music at St Mark's Church in Grafton St this Sunday afternoon.
East Street Singers and guests will be singing the Gloria - beautiful choral music written by Vivaldi in the 1600s which has remained popular for more than 400 years.
Violins, viola and cello, led by Michael Spiller will accompany the choir, and a harpsichord will be played by Andrew Doecke, a pianist and organist from Toowoomba.
Andrew who will also play several organ pieces, showcasing the beautiful organ at St Mark's.
Flautist Gabi Laws will be accompanying soprano Jill Hulme.
Tickets are available at the door only and include a delicious afternoon tea baked by the choir members.
Tickets for adults are $12 and concession tickets $10.
Children under 12 are welcome for free.
Come along and enjoy the music on Sunday at 2pm- the choir has been practicing hard for three months and the combined sound of voices, strings and harpsichord is quite a treat to hear.
Proceeds from the concert will go to the Safe Haven in Warwick.
