Shannon Angela Williams, 18, made no application for bail when her matter was brought before Warwick Magistrates Court yesterday.

Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, the Toowoomba woman had her matter adjourned and will be remanded in custody until her next court appearance on February 12.

A second teenager was also charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and grievous bodily harm in relation to the alleged assault.

She was 16 at the time of the alleged offence but is now 17 and can not be named for legal reasons.

The Warwick teenager has had her matter committed to the Warwick Children's Court and has also been remanded in custody.

Both girls were allegedly involved in a "cowardly" attack on a Warwick teenager at 2am, when she was reportedly punched and kicked repeatedly in the head while she lay on the ground.

The assault left the 15-year-old fighting for her life in hospital after brain surgery.

But to the immense relief of her family and the Warwick community, she made a miracle recovery and returned home in November.
