Beach volleyball comp at WIRAC

A BEACH volleyball competition will be held in the next two months at the Warwick Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre.

Centre dry courts co-ordinator Brendan Iles said each team would include four players, two men and two women.

"It will be a social competition and experience is not needed," Iles said.

"The sport can be quite challenging and a good way to keep fit.

"Sand was brought from Bribie Island for the courts so the surface was nice and soft."

Team and individual nominations are welcome to WIRAC on 4661 7955. Cost is $20 per team per night.

The competition will be played from 5.30pm each Wednesday from November 7 to December 19.

Teams can have more than four players in their squads with substitution allowed at the end of each set.

Each game will comprise three sets of 12 minutes.
