Beary special picnic at kindy

EVERY child enjoyed the excitement of receiving a medallion to put on their teddy bear at the Warwick Community Kindergarten Teddy Bears Picnic yesterday.

The picnic was attended by 100 people - parents and children involved with the kindy.

Kindy social committee member Jenny Thornton said the picnic was one of five activities on the kindy calendar.

"The trivia night and movie night are fundraisers and the Easter party, teddy bears picnic and Christmas party are social events for the children and their parents," Mrs Thornton said.

"There are 80 students at the kindy."

"Each child at the picnic had to bring a teddy and received a medallion."

There was also a parade and bear hunt as well as afternoon tea on an afternoon of perfect weather.

The Warwick Community Kindergarten's social committee is currently organising its September 12 movie night at Warwick Twin Cinema.
