BUNDABERG beauties Jodie Montgomerie and Loren Corrigan both want to break into modelling - and they're hoping the Miss Indy competition could be a step on the road.

Ms Corrigan said she was looking forward to the event.

"It should be a lot of fun and I'm very excited," she said.

The pair will be taking part in the heats of the Miss Indy competition that start at the Queenslander Hotel on Saturday night.

The second heat will be on September 8 and the third on September 15, with the final on September 22.

Contestants will face judging in the sportswear and swimwear categories.

Whoever wins the Bundaberg event will travel to the Gold Coast for four fun-packed days and become part of the official Miss Indy Race Team.
