Big Warwick welcome for Rebecca and film crew

WHAT can I say, I'm utterly star-struck.

It's not every day that a Gold Logie winner comes to town, and it's certainly not every day that you get to meet them face to face.

For many lucky locals (myself included) yesterday was a brush with fame that will be talked about for years.

To have Rebecca Gibney in Warwick is memorable for our small community.

The memory will be immortalised in a television show broadcast nationally next year.

What amazed me about this incredibly talented actress was how graceful, friendly and kind she was with her fans.

Several times she took time out of her busy shooting schedule to pose for photos, have a chat and make people's day.

For locals in Warwick a brush with fame doesn't come along this often, and it was absolutely fantastic to see Rebecca give fans the time of day.

Throughout the next few weeks we'll be playing host to a whole team of directors, producers, film crew, extras and big name actors - an absolute honour and privilege for our town.

Let's show them what a fantastic community we are and welcome them to our town.

The benefits of having a national production filmed here will be vast.
