78 confirmed at St Mary's

SEVENTY-seven children and one adult made their confirmation at St Mary’s Catholic Church at the weekend.

Half were confirmed by Bishop William Morris during Mass on Saturday night and half at 8.30am Mass on Sunday.

Bishop Morris said he was always grateful to be in Warwick for parish activities.

“Every confirmation is a celebration of the giving of spirit at Pentecost and it enfleshes the gift of the spirit in our lives as part of the community,” Bishop Morris said.

“There is also a sadness at confirmation this weekend as St Mary’s parish priest, Fr Kevin Noble, is sick.

“His spirit is very much alive with the children at confirmation and he is praying for them.

“Fr Noble holds the children who have been confirmed in his heart and in his prayers.”

Morning tea followed Sunday confirmation.
