BLACKOUT: Violent storm knocks out power across Warwick

Warwick residents have had to reach for the candles tonight as power was cut across the region.

The power outage was likely caused by lightning strikes as a violent storm swept across Warwick from about 8pm.

Currently more 4400 residents across Warwick are experiencing blackouts.

The Ergon website states the outage is due to a fault requiring emergency repairs.

As yet an estimated fix time is unknown.
