BLUE DAY: Wear Dolly's favourite shade today
TODAY the family of Amy "Dolly” Jayne Everett will lay the 14-year-old to rest in a memorial service in Katherine and despite the distance Warwick is right behind them.
The family requested the community wear blue today, Dolly's favourite colour, to raise awareness about the tragic consequences of bullying.
A passionate anti-bullying campaign has been sparked in the wake of the Warwick schoolgirl's death, after she took her own life due to bullying.
Spreading via the hashtags #doitfordolly and #stopbullyingnow, the Everett family hopes to save other "precious angels” from suffering the same fate as their beautiful daughter.
So don something blue today to show your support for the cause and send us a picture via Facebook so we can show the family and the rest of Australia we want bullying to end, now.
