
Blue triumphs in junior final
BLUE took out the A-grade grand final in Warwick junior netball with a 36-19 victory against Pink at Barnes Park on Saturday.
The score was 11-4 at quarter-time to Blue with each side scoring seven goals in the second quarter.
Blue ensured victory with an 11-2 performance in the third-quarter.
Pink had something to celebrate after the grand final as three of its players won best player awards.
Emma Siebenhausen was the top defender in the game with Rylie Douglas best in centre court and Dimity Brackin the strongest shooter.
In B-grade, White won 23-17.
Blue was one up at quarter-time but White had a strong second quarter to lead 11-8 at half-time.
It was 16-10 to White at three-quarter time with the two sides each scoring seven goals in the final quarter.
Madison Burton (White) won shooter of the match with Sally Higgins (White) the best in centre court and Kaitlin Wallace the top defender.
The Vicki Plummer Award, presented annually to a 12 years player who helps out in Warwick netball, was presented to Sophie Shadlow.
Thank you gifts were presented to all helpers.
The senior presentations are on September 14 at the Condamine Sports Club.
