Bogut quiet in tight win for Warriors

BASKETBALL: The hopes of another Australian player winning an NBA Championship ring received a boost with Andrew Bogut's Golden State Warriors downing Houston 110-106 in game one of the western conference finals.

The Boomers centre had one of his quietest games of the season, failing to score and finishing with just four rebounds, although he did keep opposite number Dwight Howard to just seven points.

League MVP Stephen Curry had a game-high 34 points for Golden State, while James Harden had 28 for the Rockets. Game two is in Oakland tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Aussie guard Matthew Dellavedova will line-up for Cleveland against Atlanta in game one of the best-of-seven eastern conference finals this morning.
