Bollywood will be coming to Warwick
BOLLYWOOD will be coming to Warwick thanks to the dancers of Brisbane-based dance company, Dance Masala.
Booked as the main entertainment for the upcoming Business Excellence Awards, the company is hoping to bring the authentic feel of Bollywood to the night's celebrations.
Held this Saturday night, the Business Excellence Awards are a chance for the people of Warwick to honour the outstanding service of local businesses.
Principal and Director of Dance Masala, Andrea Lam said the dance group was extremely excited to be bringing their unique entertainment to Warwick.
"We are expecting a really great night," Mrs Lam said. "It will be a great chance for us to entertain the people of Warwick and to meet some of the town's business leaders as well."
Mrs Lam said they would be bringing a feast of colours to light up the newly revamped King's Theatre.
"We have dancers, a Dohl drummer and henna artists who will create beautiful designs on your hands or feet," said Mrs Lam "It sounds like a fantastic night ahead."
All Dance Masala Professional Company members have been trained in various forms of Western and Indian dance, including kathak, bharatnatyam, lavani, ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, garba, bhangra, Tollywood, and Bollywood.
High energy, artistic integrity, and complexity are characteristics of Andrea Lam's choreographic approach and can be seen in every Dance Masala performance.
The awards will be held this Saturday at King's Theatre.
