Book review: Afterlife
AFTERLIFE
Author: Claudia Gray
Publisher: HarperCollins Publishers Aust
RRP: $19.99
AFTERLIFE, the fourth book in the Evernight series by Claudia Grey, is not just your normal vampire love story.
Sure it has some parallels with the Twilight series (the obvious being a love story with vampires) but it stands alone and is thoroughly enjoyable.
I had my doubts starting at the fourth book in the series but it all started making sense and it proved quite exciting been thrown right into the end of the series.
The series follows the story of Bianca Olivier, born to two vampires, while she attends Evernight Academy - a creepily Gothic boarding school.
There Bianca meets Lucas and the couple has many battles to overcome during the series.
In the fourth book everything has changed with Bianca being turned into a ghost (a wraith) and Lucas into a vampire, a creature he has hated his whole life.
Afterlife is a well written and exciting novel and reading it has made me yearn to read the three previous novels, Evernight, Stargazer and Hourglass.
