Border Bushrangers player in South-West Emus All Stars
RUGBY LEAGUE: Forward Marc McGrady will be the only player who played in the Southern Downs and Border region last season in the South West Emus Indigenous All Stars team for the game against the TRL All Stars at Clive Berghofer Stadium on February 25.
McGrady was a star for Tenterfield last season and played for the Border Bushrangers at representative level. He has also played for Wallangarra and in the TRL.
The indigenous team includes former Wattles player Corey Blades who is one of the best attacking players in the TRL competition.
Wattles forward Dale Perkins is in the TRL All Stars team so is set to come up against McGrady in the game in Toowoomba.
The first footy on the Southern Downs this season will be the Warwick Cowboys home game against Aspley on February 18 and then the Barrett Shield games between Warwick and Wattles at Father Ranger Oval on March 4.
The Killarney club starts its season with a meet-and-greet at the Killarney Hotel at 1pm and 4pm Saturday. All prospective players welcome or they can register to play with the Cutters online at playnrl.com
