Bourke top scores in Maryvale victory

CRICKET: Mitchell Bourke top scored with 57 as Maryvale Condamine beat Sovereign by 163 runs in Condamine Cup cricket on Saturday.

Batting first, Maryvale made 8-256 off 40 overs.

Eight of the Maryvale batsmen reached double figures.

Mitchell Bourke top scored with 57, captain Andrew Ryan made 46 not out and Jason Steketee hit 40.

With the ball, Gordon Barker took 2-21 off four overs, Tom Fern 2-25 off four overs and Glen Doyle 2-45 off eight overs for Sovereign.

Sovereign was dismissed for 93 with Caleb King batting most of the innings.

Dave Walker took four wickets for Maryvale.
