Boy airlifted from Fraser Island
A BOY was airlifted off Fraser Island on Wednesday afternoon after falling from rocks and suffering lower leg injuries.
A spokeswoman from the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper said the boy had been attending his mother's wedding on the island when he was knocked over in the Champagne Pools area.
The 8-year-old was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital for further treatment.
He travelled in a stable condition and was accompanied by his mother.
