Brace for a cool change to come
IF YOU thought the temperature was unusually warm for this time of year, you are correct, but it will not last much longer according to Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Vinod Anand.
Mr Anand said cooler conditions would hit Warwick later this week with temperatures likely to drop down to the June average.
"It should be pretty clear the rest of the week," Mr Anand said.
"It will be cool in the mornings but sunny.
"However Sunday and Monday will be cooler with dry air and temperatures should get down to around two or three degrees in the Southern Downs at night time.
"It's normally been around 11 degrees so far, six degrees above the average for Warwick in June."
After a large amount of surprising fog yesterday morning, Mr Anand said conditions would be more favourable for fog in the coming week but it was unlikely.
"There is some dry air in low levels coming up along with cooler conditions, and the temperature will be more favourable (for fog)," he said.
"But the moisture will be lacking so it will still be unlikely there will be fog."
Mr Anand said the fog yesterday was unexpected, given the conditions.
"There was no particular cause of the fog," Mr Anand said. "But Warwick should not have seen it. There was a trough in the area and you generally need high humidity, high moisture and clear skies along with cooler temperatures.
"There was a bit of cloud around in the sky yesterday too so the conditions were not generally favourable for fog."
