Brace yourself for severe storms
ROSE City dwellers who ventured outside to bask in the weekend's warm weather will be glad they did, with storms predicted to hit Warwick today.
Weatherzone meteorologist Brett Dutschke said things could get a little hairy if the storms eventuated.
"It is going to be quite warm and humid (today) and there is a chance of getting severe storms and flash flooding with any storms that do develop," he said.
Mr Dutschke said there was the potential for up to 30mm to be dumped on Warwick today but actual falls were likely to be around the 15mm mark.
But there is some good news for those who have been suffering through summer's arrival.
"During (today) we have a cooler south-east change coming through, which is only gradual so it will be only slightly cooler," he said. "It will have its biggest effect on Tuesday and Wednesday."
Temperatures are expected to hit 28 degrees today, before dropping to 29 tomorrow and 27 on Wednesday.
The potential for showers is likely to continue through until the weekend, however any rain will be minimal.
Mr Dutschke said the weekend was likely to see temperatures in the mid-30s and high humidity.
"It will start heating up again (this) weekend and conditions are not looking too different from what they were (last) weekend," he said.
