Santa Claus will stop by the Rose City Shoppingworld

BREAKFAST dates don't get much cooler than when the person you're meeting lives among penguins and polar bears and arrives in his very own reindeer-led sleigh.

Southern Downs children will have the chance to experience just what that is like when Santa Claus hits the Rose City Shoppingworld food court this month.

Santa is looking for boys and girls to share breakfast over small talk about elves, Rudolph and toys.

Marketing manager Louise de Lissa said this was a new event for the centre and she was excited to give children the opportunity to take part in such a fun activity.

"It's a dream for kids just to be able to meet Santa but to be able to have breakfast with him is even more exciting," she said.

Children will dine on such treats as a breakfast roll from Red Rooster, donuts from Donut King and scrolls from Brumby's.

Mums and dads will also receive a mini muffin and can take part in donut tastings.

Following breakfast, the children will head down to Santa's wonderland to have their photo taken with the big man himself.

The breakfast will be held on December 21, from 8-10.30am and costs $5.

It is open to children up to 12 years old and bookings are essential.
