Driver swerves to miss roo on New England Highway

UPDATE: A 51-year-old woman was taken to Warwick hospital last night after hitting a kangaroo and veering off the road.
The crash occurred on the New England Hwy, 15km north of Dalveen.
Emergency crews were called just before 6.30pm, and arrived at the scene shortly after.
The woman and sole occupant of the car was taken to hospital with chest and leg pain.
YESTERDAY: EMERGENCY crews are rushing to a traffic crash on the New England Hwy at Dalveen.
Initial reports say a driver hit a kangaroo and veered off the road.
The extent of his injuries are not yet known.
Drivers are being encouraged to drive carefully in the area.
