BREAKING: Gas leak at Cunningham Highway petrol station

EMERGENCY services have rushed to a petrol station on the Cunnningham Highway where a car is leaking LPG gas.

QFES, paramedics and police are still on scene at the BP Service Station in Goondiwindi after a call went out at 7:34 this morning.

Fire fighters have removed the vehicle and established an exclusion zone while the car disperses the gas.

No one has been injured or is in danger.

The BP Service Station followed emergency protocols and it still open to customers.

Constable Kyle Jordan said emergency services were waiting for the gas leak to cease so the vehicle could be towed.

"QFRS moved the vehicle to a separate area and put up an exclusion zone around the vehicle while the vehicle disperses its LPG gas," he said.

The incident occured when the car sprung a leak in it's fuel tank.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said there were no flames.

"The service station has put their emergency protocols in place," she said.
