UPDATE: Roof fire in Broadwater home contained

UPDATE: A home in Broadwater, near Stanthorpe, has been damaged after a fire broke out in the roof this afternoon.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze in the roof of the Stanthorpe-Texas Rd home at around 5pm.

The full extent of the damage is unknown, but a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the property was being ventilated and hotspots were being knocked out.

 

BREAKING: Fire crews are on the scene of a house fire on Stanthorpe-Texas Rd at Broadwater, west of Stanthorpe.

The fire is believed to have broken out at around 4pm.

It is unknown if anybody was in the home at the time.
