Young girl kidnapped from CQ, man charged

Bundaberg police detectives have charged a man following investigations into a missing girl from Central Queensland last month.

It will be alleged the girl, aged under 16, was taken by a man known to her on April 30.

Following police investigations, the girl was located uninjured in Bundaberg on Sunday afternoon.

A 42-year-old Kelso man has been charged with one count each of abduction of a child under 16 and carnal knowledge of a child under 16 years of age.

He is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday.
