BREAKING: Man rushed to hospital after crash near Warwick

A MAN in his 70s has been transported to Warwick Hospital suffering head injuries after his vehicle careered off the road.

The man, who was travelling alone, is being treated for head lacerations and is in a stable condition.

Police, ambulance and fire-fighters attended the crash on the Cunningham Highway near Clintonvale at about 3:30pm.

The man was driving a Nissan Navara ute towards Warwick when the vehicle careered off the road and into the left embankment.

A fireman attending the scene said the man was conscious and speaking to the ambulance officers when he was transported.

The cause of the crash is unknown.

Police were directing traffic on the Cunningham Highway following the crash.
