BREAKING: Police chase ends in car crash, man in hospital

UPDATE 7.30PM: A 21 year old man is in hospital after crashing a stolen vehicle into a railway underpass on Rosehill Rd in Warwick this afternoon.

The Marsden man drove the Ford Ranger out of a dealership on Maryland St in Stanthorpe and began a car chase that began at 3.10pm and would see him travel as far as Wallangarra Rd.

The chase came to an end when the man crashed near Oehlmans Rd where he was first taken into custody at the Warwick watchouse and then onto the Warwick Hospital, where he is currently being treated for injuries.

INITIAL: ONE person is in custody after a police chase involving Warwick police.

A vehicle was pursued on the New England Highway.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Police Service said it was a possible stolen vehicle but couldn't provide any further information as the situation is ongoing.

EDITOR'S NOTE: It was originally reported the vehicle was stolen from Maryland St in Jimboomba but this was not correct. The vehicle was stolen from Maryland St in Stanthorpe.
