Briefing to address cyber security threat in Warwick
CYBER security and the threats to business will be the topic of conversation at a briefing by a security advocate in Warwick on Thursday.
Businesses, local government and community members are invited to attend the session at the CWA Tea Rooms from 10am, hosted by the Business Network of Warwick (BNoW).
The CyberInnovation Briefing will be presented by Dr Sally Ernst, who is touring the state educating people on cyber security.
"Our private personal and business information is valuable to criminals and that is why they will go to extraordinary lengths to get it," Dr Ernst warned.
"We want to take the message to people that being aware of the threats and taking a few simple precautions while changing some behaviours will safeguard yourself and your business in the online world."
Dr Ernst, host Julia Keogh and local entrepreneurs Brendan Goleby and Shane Ridley, are giving away 10 free tickets using the code WARWICKCOLLECTIVE100, with a discount on ticket prices of 25% for other tickets, using the code WARWICKCOLLECTIVE.
